What are Shadow Classes®?
Shadow Classes® are weekly small-group tutoring sessions that follow specific classes at local schools. Experienced instructors help students understand hard topics, prepare for tests, and earn higher grades.
Which schools do you support?
We start each year with classes for Acalanes, Campolindo (Campo), and Miramonte, and we add new classes when students ask for them.
How is a Shadow Class different from regular tutoring?
A Shadow Class tracks a specific school course week by week. Shadow Class instructors already know the common sticking points in that class, so the session starts where students get stuck—not with a generic curriculum.
Who are Shadow Classes for?
They work well for A, B, or C students who do well in a small-group setting. Students with lower grades should schedule private tutoring or online private tutoring instead.
What happens in a typical week?
Activities change with the school week: test prep, explaining tough topics, previewing upcoming chapters, reviewing fundamentals, or answering what is on students’ minds that week.
How much do Shadow Classes cost?
Shadow Classes are $236 per month ($59 per week per class). If you pre-pay for the semester, the fee is $49 per week, and you are not charged for closed days.
Do students get extra help before tests?
When needed, Shadow Class students get access to free Reviews for upcoming tests.
What are AP Shadow Classes?
AP Shadow Classes include topics that matter for the AP exams, even if a classroom teacher skips them, so students get a head start. Instructors help with hard material, AP prep, and higher AP scores.

Do grades usually improve?
In our last Shadow Class student survey, 91% said their grades were one or two letters higher thanks to the classes.
