ASSESSMENTS/PRACTICE TESTS

Assessments are the foundation of our Summer SAT Prep program. They help us target our curriculum to eliminate your student’s skill gaps. We organize our classes based on assessment results, so each student learns with comparable scorers who need help in similar areas. This is how we offer the targeted group instruction that leads to the highest score improvements! We also use CollegeBoard tests to ensure that our tests match what you can expect on the actual SAT.

INNOVATIVE CURRICULUM

Our owner is a Harvard MBA. He has been developing innovative SAT Prep curriculum for the past twenty years. Why does this matter? There are many ways to teach SAT topics and all methods are not created equal. Over the years, we have hired a lot of instructors with test prep experience at other companies. We have asked them to compare our strategies to those they have used elsewhere. MANY of our strategies have been new for the instructors, and ALL of them work … better.  

HYBRID STRUCTURE

We pioneered the hybrid Summer SAT prep structure in 2008, when our owner’s daughters were in our Summer SAT Prep program.  They started before their junior years at Campo, and finished the following spring, shortly before their actual test dates. Students learn the key strategies during the summer when they are not distracted by school, sports, and other extracurriculars; then, they return to the program approximately 6 weeks before their actual test date for follow-up test prep, two private tutoring sessions, and another assessment. Lafayette Academy students in the hybrid program have achieved the highest SAT score increases (from initial assessment to actual test score).  Now you see why we put the quotes around “summer.”

  • Summer SAT Prep Classes begin on Tuesday, June 9, with subsequent summer sessions starting on Mondays July 6 and July 20.
  • 3 monthly payments of $395 ($1,185 total) for 11 classes (includes return program), 3 hours of private tutoring, and the highest scores

OMG! I just got my ACT scores and … drumroll please, I got a 35. A COMPOSITE OF 35. Sorry about all caps, but I don’t GAF (sorry for that too).
